RE: Anyone have exp towing with yukon xl?

No and I wouldnt. I pulled our TT once (around 5500lbs) and without some heavier duty tires (standard Goodyear Wrangler P rated) I wouldnt pull it again. Youd be 1000 lbs over the max towing capacity too.

RE: Why are KZ's so pricey?

To give you an idea mine stickered just over 23k and bought it for 17,2k back in 06. The quad bunks are great for kids, ours are 11,9 and 7 and they still fit just fine in them!

RE: Exterior mounted built-in cooktops

Tim, KZ offered them in years past on their Frontier line which I have. I use mine ALL the time...Id be lost without it. KZ dropped the Frontier and the Spree is kind of in its place but as far as I can tell they no longer offer the outside cooktops. I know some Outbacks I looked at a while back had them. Maybe you could order one through Keystone or maybe KZ still have some on hand you could buy. Someone in the hybrids forums posted pictures of installing an outside baggage door. He did a great job and didnt look like too difficult of a job if youre handy.
One note: My first year with my Frontier I kept the cooktop stove in place when I stored it over the winter. First trip out the following spring the gas controls were seized up. Took the whole thing apart but still couldnt get it to work. KZ replaced the stove under warranty and last winter I took the stove out and stored it in my garage- no problems this year.

RE: Quad bunk trailer

I think youll find most quad bunks in the 32-34' range unless you get a rear queen slide like I have ( see sig.) which KZ lists at 26'3" or one without a true queen bedroom and you have to convert a front dinette. We also have 3 kids, the quad bunks work very well for us, however DW now wishes we had a slideout. Ive been very happy with KZ.

RE: HELP!! Need Hybrid Opinion

You'll get all kinds of replies here with regard to towing with a minivan, pro and con. Ive seen many minivans towing smaller hybrids. Youve gotta run your numbers all the way around...your gear, passengers, clothing, food, firewood, bikes, etc and come to a decision you and your family will be comfortable with. We had one and it served us well for 3 years. We moved to the " rear queen hard-slide" expandable trailer in our signature. Less setup, warmer in cold weather, drier in wet, and quieter inside were our factors for the switch. But you cant go wrong with the extra room and storage the hybrids offer in a shorter, lighter package to tow.
Coltons has this Coyote http://www.coltonrv.com/Hidden/InventoryDetail/tabid/797/invid/365557/Default.aspx
Its gross weight is 3800 lbs, dry is 3000. Youre gonna be real close or over the vans limit.

RE: Frustration with KZ Service Dept.

Keep on them. I have had to call them twice and both times they were very helpful and responsive. When I got my trailer out of storage this spring one of my faucet handles popped off and it couldnt be fixed. They sent me a replacement kitchen faucet as a courtesy even though my warranty was up by a few months. Matt or Sherrita are who I dealt with they were both very nice and helpful. Keep on them.

RE: Floor Repair & Remodel

Looks like you did a really nice job, congrats! Out of curiosity, did you try having the repairs done under warranty...that damage didnt just appear in 30 days.

RE: I Track Tested a 2009 Ram...Not just for Dodge fans!

Pretty sure I saw on down in Nashville in July. I snapped a picture. See for yourself. Note the sloped grille, square foglamps in the front bumper..looks like an 09 to me.

RE: How Many Tow with a Dodge 1500 Hemi?

No problems with that truck and a trailer that weight...my 04 has the same set up and my trailer is around 5500lbs. Plenty of power. I did put E rated tires on the truck.

RE: Whos got a Jayflight 28BHS/G-2 29BHS?

Have any of you weighed your trailer? If I recall its listed at around 5300lbs dry. Im towing around 5500 loaded right now. Im sure my truck can handle the extra weight if I end up going for the Jayco.
